shout out box

I want a shout out box in html.

So i was wandering...

I tried searching for a tutorial but i didnt get anything good, is there another more "proper" name besides "shout-out box"?

Or maybe someone could show me how to do it...or let me have theirs...

I want one sooo bad...it would look good on the first page of my site version.II.

Sorry but you can't do a shoutbox with just HTML. A server side script is needed to parse the data.

If you have a PHP/CGI & MySQL enabled server(most paid hosts do), you might want to use http://sourceforge.net/projects/shoutbox/ .. That's what I have on my site and many other sites use it.

If you don't then http://www.tag-board.com/ is an alternative. They host the shoutbox for you, but I think there's an ad

Go to this link--> http://zpeef.owns.it/ You should see to the right a shout box. It's there to try out. If you like it, go to the Downloads section, and D/L it. It's free, and there are no banner adds or such. It does require a PHP compatable server if I remember corectly.
