I'm not doubting the book, and the quality of it (never read it), but with something as common nowadays as HTML, I don't see the justification of spending the money when there are 1000's of HTML resources on the net., ranging from the beginner trying to teach a beginner, to a seasoned veteran like Joe Burns.

Even PHP is pretty self teachable from the 'net (At least thats how I'm going about it, and fairly well when I have the time to sit and learn).

This wasn't meant to be a harsh post or anything, just giving my 2 cents. :D

kewl by me. the book is 50 dollars just so you know. I have read some of the cheaper books and find they are helpful too. But this book by far I use more then any other book. As it does have Basic HTML, DHTML, a little Javascript, and CSS. It also gives me in-depth resource pages at the back of the book pretaining to all of the above and how to use them.

Now I'm a older web deisgner and all this web technology was not around when I started. So you may very well be able to find better sources for a cheaper price. But make sure you go thru all the books to make sure they have what you want.

I have heard it time and time again.

"Learn how to hand code HTML before you start using WYSIWYG editors"

It makes a big difference..

Good luck on your quest. Here are some other sites..
