Is there a site that provides free, basic renders? Of things like a phone, plane, a bottle, a stapler, etc... just plain ones... ?

Not even necessarily free, but cheap, at least...

More specifically, I'm looking for one of a glass syringe...

You're talknig 3D renders yeah?

Go over to http://www.turbosquid.com, do a model search and hopefully you'll find a free one to download. Does it have to move? If you're looking for a picture, try http://istockphoto.com. I actually found syringes last year over there when i was working on a fine art project.
