Website Critique

Hi Guys, I'd like ya to take a look at my latest site for a client. The USNPT (United States National Poker Tour) came to me for a site. I've come up with this so far:

unfortunately the logo was already set, so i had to work around that. let me know what you guys think, im definitely open to honest criticism as always

I like the content area looks awesome. Maybe if you put the logo in a white BG and not black it might look better?

thanks for the comment man, i agree with the color choice, but the client's logo was backed by black, so i decided to keep it like that. thats why i went with the black area with the cards and the poker face. the black area would probably look a little out of place without the black area at the top.
