I was recently inspired by (of all things) the product packaging for STUDIOMX. Don't ask me why (I'm always inspired by odd things). Anyway, it gave me the idea to do the following design for my website:

http://www.dcloud.com/show/dcloudbox.htm

This might possibly be an entrance page. I'm not sure yet. I wanted to get some feedback first before I proceeded further (my current entrance page design can be viewed at my website www.dcloud.com).

I look forward to your feedback.

I dont know I think it looks pretty good, but it seems really grainy/noisey... other than that I think it looks pretty good, may look better on a different background as well dont know :p

Thanks, fusiun .. I updated the link. I removed the "grain", which I had used since I figured a box would have some graininess to it.

I like the design and it is a very interesting idea. However, the whole thing looks really blurry and fuzzy, it just doesnt seem to be crips and sharp like a box is.

I like it...it's kind of strange on the right crease though. It starts out sharp on top, then the fold blurs and smooths out in the middle. Overall it's nice

And on a sidenote, happy birthday

Thanks I got a lot more replies on another forum, which has helped me decide which direction to take. I have decided to try an make a go of this other design idea I had:

brandon does have a point, the left side does seem like it is weighed down a little bit. I still love the new design, cute new creature. :D
