I visited this site ipodlounge.com this afternoon and really liked some of the ipod 2 concepts posted there and thus I decided to create one myself. And as I am a gadget freak, I added a camera, phone and dual display ![]() ![]() http://www.xs4all.nl/~sandrs/ipod2v1.jpg And oh, I didn't design the icons, cause I didn't feel like spending thát much work on a fun project. Took em from wincustomize. No prob I hope. |

Nice. My only crits...the highlight edges should be a bit softer and you could use more contrast on the buttons. Also the black line on the crease should have a lower opacity.....maybe 60% or so.

Looks really good man. I like it, rodder had some really good suggestions too. But Apple would have much cleaner icons. Those reminds me of xp icons to much. Looks really good though ![]() |

Looks pretty fancy, although those file icons are way too "windows-like" for apple. Also use myriad bold as the typeface, thats what apple uses for their ads.

Thanks for the replies guys, you are right with the icons, not very apple. Might change them. As for the highights, I ****ed up my layers so some parts are all on 1 layer now, the whole case for example, so I guess I won't be changing those anymore. And Linknisity, iPod is as flat as it can get, so I am glad my image shows it off ![]() |

The screen should have scan lines. If that doesn;t help, just find some way to make it look like an LCD like add a reflection of glare on it or something. Right now it looks like a picture pasted on.

I think it looks fine as is. Although, as a working product design, I'd change a few things: The buttons beneeath the screen look like they'd be too small to be really effective, and the button overlapping the scrollwheel on the right side would impede the functionality of the way the wheel works as a touch mechanism. Apple is known for it's high def, hi-res displays, and scanlines would make the thing look far too dull, and detract too much from the image. Furthermore, product screens are always simulated in that manner. |

I agree. Not to mention its an LCD.....it cant have scan lines. What you need is noise. If you've ever looked closely at a monochrome lcd......its very grainy. So multiply some noise and lower the opactiy. |
