I got this nice peace of wood that I am going to stencil that on, along with the words "More militerry, Less skools."

I'm using manilla file folders.

The only other thing I tried was cardboard, but the sh*t I have is too thick. I kind of like the whole underspray look though. Fuziness is happiness.

welcome back

I think the underspray adds to the stencil. It looks good.

Show the final product :D

Yeah you should really work on your lines... the stencil looks pretty good.
Just try to get it a bit cleaner.

"More militerry, Less skools."

you want the bad spelling? Like - "look at what less schools/more military actually mean - less educated people? In which case I think it's a subtle and nice idea... I think the stencil would look better without the "underspray" thinghy....(I'm assuming it means the unclear lines)

Yeah, I'm trying to make a semi political joke as our nation has the habit of increasing military spending while decreasing funds for our schools. (Please. Please, do not turn this into a political thread.)

Underspray is what is giving the picture fuzzy lines. It's that the stencil is not pressed against the material well enough and some spray paint goes under the sentcil nad creates that glow-ish effect. I, personally, like it.

if i had in mind to make a stencil with NO underspray - i would make a vector drawing!
the underspray gives life - on you bob dylan its all grat - a mix of sharp and fuzz - the way it should look!

what is the most prefered material to make stencil?

I dont really get the whole stencil thing........BUT....i think you could produce some really kick ass stuff if you tried some shading. Obviously shading with anything less than an airbrush is a bitch......but you can use that overspray to your advantage (like the soldiers fingers).
