w00t. Havnt hit this section since summer i think lol. Anywho...with new years/threats/saddam (u name it) i wanted to do some kinda war-ish piece. (or a small series if ppl think this is okiedokie). The first 2 images : Small Version : Huge Version The last image is WIP (was the orig. image i made before this one). Also all my own photos (as usual...the helicopters flew over my house...etc lol). Color scheme - Red/white for the stars and stripes - Orange for dusk and our "orange alert" - Yellow (inbetween red/orange) Security @ 390K LARGE!!! |

War! It's pretty nice. 2100 looks just like the 24 huors or what is that TV series name? I wouldn't make the flag go over the boat, I would just leave it in the background. I like the second image the most. Okey they are still a bit too everything everywhere for my taste. Couldn't really use it as a wallpaper or something like that. But still a nice image to look at. |

There is really only 5 or 6 total pictures and its about 50 layers. 24 is the name. The 2100 is based off the "join the army commercials" round here.....so i gave it that flashy tv look.. which is kinda the same as 24 lol Yeah i do that. I just like colors and detail. The more stuff to look at....usually the happier I am. I couldnt tell ya if it icreases or hurts my artwork, its just a kinda rut i fall into. |

I like how you merged the photographs together - blending them thoughtfully, showing proof that you thought about how they should go together – this also applies to the colours, with the dark reds. The actual concept, although viable, doesn’t really push the meaning forward in any particular way. Because of this, the image becomes somewhat tedious and dull looking. I understand that you wanted to portray the thought of war, but to me, I don’t really see much of an idea, but more of a basic arrangement of war related pictures slammed together, re-coloured and bordered. It’s an ok picture, but perhaps consider next time to think about an actual concept that provokes something stronger. |

Yeah im starting to agree. The original (work in progress pic) actually had a meaning/purpose to it...but as i worked on it the meaning died out and instead i focused on the feeling(atmosphere) it gave off. I dunno...i guess its only "my" feeling. |

yeah, they look somewhat busy .. but i really like the feeling .. the first thing i thought about with the "2100" was the tv-series as well, so you might wanna do something about that .. (you wouldn't want to relate to that?) .. back to the image.. I like the colours, and "dark spots" and the contrast .. great work ;) |
