Kay i was trying to go for a watercolory effect, If you'd like to see the inspiration it was: http://www.10kcommotion.com/theTENKAYcomic/3-5thSTAGE/3-5thSTAGEindex.html Anyway I came up with this: http://illustorium.fateback.com/junk2/sketch2.gif (copy paste the URL please) Critiques and comments of course are welcome. Thanks a lot :D Oh yeah and btw if you'd like to know, I didn't use a wacom, just drew in pencil (Yeah, I was too lazy to ink the penciled copy!) and scanned and photoshopped till I dropped. |

as long as you're pleased with the way it turned out then it's perfect. but, I would suggest making more pencil lines, and having those lines be a little wilder, but only if you really want it to look like the inspiration. and also, in the inspiration pic, the color isn't bound by the lines. but to adhere to these suggestions would be nitpicky. |

First off, I'm jealous of anyone who can draw that good with pencils/pens and such, uhum, yea. Second, I think that is watercolored. So if it isn't like the inspiration site, you only said you were goin for that watercolor effect and I think you definitivly achieved it...eh...yes, that's what I think. Good job. |

Truly amazing. Admire you for your sketching as well as that wonderful watercolor job. Did you use any filters or just brush work? I dont need a whole tutorial, but in two sentences, how did you get brushes to look like watercolors? tom |

Haha, wow! What a positive response, didn't think I'd get something like that lol Anyway yeah thanks a lot guys. Also , I'm flattered to hear that you'd want a tutorial (wee! No one's ever asked me before.... lol) so anyway yeah. I'll make one, and I'll put it in the techniques section so keep your eyes out for it. Oh and by the way Patte I only used brushes. No filters. anyway thanks a lot guys. Oh and by the way I updated it (the original one i had put up, I forgot to color the glasses). So check it out if you want - it's not much of a difference, but anyway. Thanks again guys :D |
