Okay, I've got a wide angle; I've got a telephoto; both for my Sony DSC-S70.

Only thing I can think I still want, is a Macro lens. But I don't really know what a macro lens does for you... me... whoever. What does it do that I can't do without it?

It lets you take *really* close up shots. Like just a few inches away from your subject and have it in crystal-clear focus.

yeah I just bought the Hoya macro set +1,+2,+4. but if you dont plan on constantly using macro its not real necasery usually the macro that comes with a digi cam is good to begin with

does anyone know if other cameras besides sony allow use with macros, or no? i might be interested in buying one

hmm..ok thanks. i have the A40, so i'm hoping since yours is canon, too, mine allows it too.

time to do some research :D
