I have an inkjet Canon Pixma iP 3000 connected to Mac.
When try to select the printer profile in Photoshop>Profile setup there are several settings for Canon Pixma iP 3000:

iP300 MP1
iP300 PR1
iP300 PR2
iP300 SP2
iP300 SP4

I am novice in Photoshop and really confised which one to select!
There is no info in printer’s guide book about this issue.
Any practical advise, please?

Mac runs on OS9.2

Thanks in advance !

Linda

Apparently you're not the only one having this confusion, Linda:

Or, this other poor soul >> http://www.yourmaclife.com/forum/viewtopic.php?forum=30&showtopic=15375

Neither one of them seemed to find a 'quick' answer.

I did, however in the search come across an interesting PHotoshop Digital Photography site >>> http://epaperpress.com/psphoto/index.html which did have a blip about calibrating a printer using 'Curves' http://epaperpress.com/psphoto/inxCalibration.html . I know it's not the answer you were looking for, sorry. Maybe you can use his 'tif' file of the greyscale and use each profile to see what gives the best results.
