So, do only losers win on the consolation??

huh? reguardless of me not understanding that i will try to explain.

the tournament starts out with everyone in the same group.

8 people win, and 8 people lose.
the losers drop down to a new bracket (like a new tournament almost) and the winners stay in the championship bracket.

every round, more people lose, therefore more people drop down to the consolation bracket.

if you are in the consolation bracket you have to win all the rest of your matches to get 3rd.

its like going to the NIT tournament..sorta

well, that makes sense , except for the NIT tournament thingy. (Not sure what that is).
