Layer>Type>Render Layer not there in Photoshop 6

For some odd reason, its there on my Mac, but on my home PC, not there, so unable to render the text so that I can continue using some of the text effects. Im just getting into this, so help a guy out eh

Mr. Photoshop knows Mac-only firsthand, But I think the command you want is right below that one. It's Layer:Rasterize: Type.
