how can i make a banner with just text but have it on a transparent background? like i just want the text without the background.

Just create your text (it will automatically be on it's own layer in Photoshop 5.5 or later) and hide (turn off) any other layers (click the eyeball icon to the left on the layers palette). Then choose Save For Web... and make sure your image file format is GIF and Transparency is checked in the Save For Web Dialog. This should happen automatically (if you've hidden all other layers) in Photoshop 6.0 or later. |
