Hey. I have one. It has come up a few times. When I'm scaling something or rotating Then I decide not to, why do I have to wait for it to get done and then press UNDO? Is there a way to get out of a scaling command/

Fareeha, You bet. I think I know what you mean. You do this big multi-step transformation (scale, rotate, or whatever) and to undo it you have to commit to it then press undo. And some of those transformations take several seconds to execute. Here's the solution: If you have Photoshop 6.0, just hit the "X" on the Options Bar on the top of your screen while doing a transformation. But you're probably using 5.5 or something. The answer is to hit the Esc (escape) key OR Command + . (period). In Windows language that last one is Control + . (period). That last one is a standard in a lot of software to halt something in mid-task. The keyboard shortcuts also work in 6.0. |
