How can i create a JPEG file in adobe photoshop 5.5 since in the scrolling menu i do not have the jpeg option??

Stefano,
You should be able to save as JPEG- unless you're in another image mode. Many image modes don't have the wide variety of file format choices as RGB. For instance, if you're in Lab Color Mode, JPEG will be grayed out as an option on the pop- up menu if you choose Save As... (or in 6.0, won't appear at all). However, you should still be able to choose Save for Web... and select JPEG as the format, though.
