I've used Photoshop 5.5 for awhile now and changed I've changed my history settings to count 99 steps. Recently I've received photoshop 6 and I can't find any options to set the history past it's default low amount of steps. Could you please help me?

Aaron, I too like having more than the default number of history palette steps at my disposal. Mr. Photoshop spent a few minutes swearing at his computer and Adobe Systems, Ltd., until I found out where you can access the number of History states. (BTW, the 6.0 help still says its in the old place, in the History pallette's Command Menu under History Options) I finally found it myself: Choose Edit: Preferences: General and you'll see a History States: input box. Don't forget the History Palette uses memory on your scratch disk so make sure you have a lot of free space to avoid a "Scratch Disk Full" error message. |
