i created a song loop for my site in .wav format i imported it and added an action on the last frame that tells it to loop back to the beginning but when it reaches the end of the song it has a long pause and then starts playback does anyone know why this is also im using MX in case it matters

there's a music tab. Click on it and select 'loop music'. I'm not so sure where it is in MX, but just click on the thingy that says 'loop' in the music tab or something similar. Your technique should technically work, but it doesn't. Flash has a whole tab for music, you can make it come out of one/2 speakers etc, it's pretty cool. I've never used it though coz i dont really like loops. Make sure you make an option to turn off the music, it can really turn ppl like me off.

Have you checked your .WAV file to see if the end has blank data, meaning after the music stops, the file keeps playing?

instead of looping the song, place the song in a different swf and attach a script to the song. thie will allow you to controll the song more efficiently as well as make it loop continuously without the sound gap. once you have link the song to a script, export the movie, and then import that swf into your main swf via loadMovie. this gives you the best control over sound, and reduces loading time as well

It aint that hard....just click the loop tab in the sound menu..
