FTP Trials - previous thread

I was reading a previous thread about FTP uploading. Is there a place in Windows XP or on the Internet that I can upload my dreamweaver documents and test them live. Is this free? I would like to test out my pages before transferrring them to the 'official' remote site.

If I read your posts correctly, I should be able to upload for free, right? Do I need to have a registered domain name first?

(LOCAL) I'm not sure about in Dreamweaver, but in ColdFusion Studio (EXPENSIVE @_@) you can preview sites just by pressing F12. Maybe there's a button in DW you can press or somewhere in the menus where you can preview your works. If one doesn't exist, you can always load it up in your web browser and check it there.
