how do i do it? make a layer fade off and disappear? am i calling it the wrong thing? (such as changing the occupency of a layer in photoshop) |

Well, this is for Flash 4, and it's for text, but the same principles apply. Alpha can also be substituted for the Tint command. http://visualintensity.com/flash.php?tutorial=fadetext If you're using Flash 5, alot of the commands are on the Effect\Instance palette. If it's not showing, you can go up to Modify > Instance, and choose the Effect tab. It's just a tween, with the opacity changed at each end. |

u cant make a "layer" dissapear. U can only make objects in the layer dissapear. If u want it to dissapear as an animation u need 2 keyframes in your timeline after u have created the object. then you can select the second keyframe and lower the alpha value through the instance pannel. actually you can make a layer fade, it's an actionscript code.
