Hi

I just wanted to recommend what I use for making my websites. The software is essential to me as it has to be both easy to use and have those advanced features.

For the webgraphics, I use Adobe Photoshop (go figure) version 6. For the main html-coding, I use Allaire Homesite 4.01 wich to me is a great tool. It can be easily integrated with Dreamweaver if that was necessary.

As for the uploading of the finished material, I use CuteFtp 4.2 wich is easy yet powerful to use.....

There ya go. My story of the web......=)

Hehe. Notepad should be one of the cheapest yet still effective html-coders around. SecureFX is not familiar to me, but if you say so....=)

Nice thread this is huh?

I use 5.5 to run actions that require it and are not compatible with 6.0. Check the adobe forums for a fix for the 6.0 color dodge. I believe pank has a news post about it in his archives. It was about 2.5 - 3 months ago.

Nothin New here. Just wanted to also recommend SecureFX (secure ftp) and SecureCRT (secure telnet) for those of you who run your own servers. For our hosting servers we don't use it because it would be impractical to require our customers to purchase this software, but for our servers it is the only thing that will work. Telnet and FTP have been disabled. Two very unsecure security holes.
