got some questions that might seem real dumb... how do you select environment maps? [edit]k i think i put it under render, environment, got that, the map shows up in the background but isn't reflected off the model...i do have the material set at 100 reflective and refractive. do i need a map on the material too? and if you make ur own textures where do you put them so you can select them for your material? [edit} figured this one out, and i figured out my problem with dxf's,all i had to do was import the dxf file to use it :D |

Hmm, don't know a thing about 3D Studio Max. In C4D the environment is applied to the material which is applied to your object and you dont need to use a reflection map, you can if you want but that defies the point in appointing an environment....go to www.postforum.com and post a question in the 3DSM forum or got to www.3dlinks.com Aidan |
