My Dear friends, I'm trying to create a page in dreamweaver in which I would like to separate some words with about 10 blank spaces, but I can't do it!!! Is there someone that could help me?
I have tried with CSS but all that I've found is to separate every words (or every letters) of the paragraph. I hope that my words are understood, so I'll make you an example of what I would like to do:

VIA ARGIRO, 141 70125 Bari Italy

Have you understand now?

Thank you in advance for your kind attention,

Andrea

try making a 10px wide or high gif, make it completly transparent and place it between the items of text.

thanks a lot!!! that works....and I think that since the dimension of the file is just 58 byte, it would neither make my page become slower!!!

Off course I meant to separate Via Argiro, 141 from 70121 Bari, but since this message is written in html I had exactly the same problem that I tried to resolve in the example that I made....

if are there other solutions, please let me know!!!

In dreamweaver to get extra space just click CTRL+Shift+Space Bar. Don't use a graphic to correct this when it's so simple to fix.

a transparent graphic is a very simple fix compared to have 10
& n b s p;'s
in your code between words. plus, you can stretch a 1px by 1px transparent graphic to any size you want for any spacing.

say he wants 10px spacing vertically. you you gonna have him put in 10 <.br> 's ?   is a sure fix, but a transparent gif is just as good and in some case, much better.

I'll actually agree with axiom on this, loading a 1x1 gif is very neglible as far as file size and is a much more controlled solution than inserting a bunch of spaces.
