I just installed 3D Studio Max 3.1, but when I go to open it.....it gives me this message: OK. I got 3D Studio Max 3.1, I installed it to my PC, but when I try and open it I get this error message: Hardware lock is not attached, or you are usingthe wrong lock, or the lock device drivers are not running. Does anyone know how to get through this??? thanks |

yeah pay the money to get studio max. Or install the software they should have given you to emulate a dongle. |

Thanks for closing that thread. And I did pay for the program, I found out my problem. It had to do with my NT, thanks for the sarcasm.

I'm sure nothing overly agressive was intended, but nine times out of ten (more like 99 out of 100) that error is because someone's trying to use a cracked version of Max and doesn't have a hardware lock. Sorry for the misunderstanding and unfair accusation. Chris |
