I am desparate. I also think I am a bit dimwitted right now. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to link in Flash 5. I created a button, and i want to create a link on the 'hit' frame. I have searched for tutorials but they are all the same, they walk me right through everything, showing me how to use Actions and all that, but I cannot access any of my actions, as they are all greyed out and unaccessable. I am wanting to link to a chromeless window, but that shouldnt have anything to do with it. I am very frustrated.

Your action doesn't go on the hit state of your button but on the button itself in your movie. If it went in the hit state you'd have to create a separate button every time you wanted to link to something. Instead you can just create one button you can use multiple times (instances) and then just change the link/action for each instance. Hope that helps. Chris |
