pentium M centrino or powerbook G5

i m a interior student who is going to oversea studies.i m using 3d studio max to do 3d modelling and now i m looking for a laptop which can run the rendering faster but i don't either i should choose a pentium M centrino 1.8 laptop or a powerbook G5 as my computer next 2 years for my studies.any suggestion or comment? i heard some peoples say that 3d studio max can't run on a powerbook, is that true?what kind of laptop should i go for??

yup, max is a pc only program so that rules out the powerbook if that's a piece of software you need to run. there are other 3d packages available for the mac if you don't need max specifically (cinema 4d, lightwave, maya).

i greatly prefer macs in general but everyone has their own personal biases.
