i discovered a brilliant open source terrain generator called terragen the othernight heres a couple of quickies i did http://www.geocities.com/crow_uk16/2nd.jpg http://www.geocities.com/crow_uk16/firstever.jpg they only got rocky textures on them because, i aint got any plugins to make other textures yet. i was using bryce 4 before this, i think i wont be using it much any more |

I used a terragen a bit too: http://forum.teamphotoshop.com/showthread.php?t=24134 They look nice so far, but after terragen you still have to do some post processing work to remove the "terragen feel". |

yea i noticed that it lacks coulor depth when its rendered......so i whipped it into photoshop and changed some levels contrast and coulor, which made it a million times better

One thing terragen does poorly are beaches and other areas where water meets land, but their is little one can do in photoshop to correct this problem. Most of the best work done with terragen is either real-world locals or terragen renders chopped into photographs.
