hey y'all, at the apple store playing with motion on a loaded dual-g5 with a 23" cinema display and...wow. this program ROCKS. its like after effects simplified, some very cool presets and very easy to use particle systems and animation tools. i may have to buy a copy of this for review...

well, it really doesnt have any editing tools like avid or premiere but its designed to integrate well with final cut. its sort of like after effects with a lot of built-in scripting, presets, etc. from what i've seen so far its really powerful, just playing around with it i had some interesting effects. you can get more of an idea of what its about by checking out the motion demo video from NAB, impressive stuff.

It sucks that they only have it available for Apple (mac). Does anyone know if its going to be available for PC as well? The program looks sweet and impressive.

Do you know of any PC application that's close to what Motion is capable of doing?

massively delayed response, sorry, but after effects is pretty much the motion graphics standard. doesn't have all the cool built-in stuff that apple does.
