Criven's skin..suggestions?

Ive been slaving away at some skin patches and i just wanna see what you think...which one is the best of the following?

I think render3. Its kinda the best of both worlds. It has the pink/human look....yet still retains the aged creature look (if that makes sense). Though i think the white/cream colors are a little bright. Maybe u could break them up with some blue veins or something??

Also my mother just walked in as im replying and was totally grossed out.....so the skin is doing its job!! lol

Agreed. 3 is definately a good creepy one. If you used #1 he would have to be some elderly old thing cause the skin is so lifeless.

1 is a bit too extreme and contrasty, i like 3 as well. and i was a bit grossed out too

surfacing looks great man, you're getting freakin' good. are you using image maps or procedurals for this?

Procedurals!! Haha no way Chris..the max procedurals are pretty crappy. They are all photos of my skin made ugly...they dont even have bump or anything yet. ill keep you posted..ive stopped working on this project temporarily. ill post everything up soon though.

heh, didn't think so but i figured i'd ask i'd be interested to see some of your bump and spec channels when you get a chance, surfacing looks awesome.

I think #1 and #3 both look pretty good. :p It once the entire thing is done it might be easier to decide what one looks the best. Once you can see it with everything else. Nice work though cybling...
