layout help w/ fireworks & Dreamweaver

first I came across this site http://www.ski-doo.com/xteam/x_team/home_xteam.htm?langCode=CAEN for an example to help me with a layout I'm not stealing it just to get ideas to point me in the right direction can someone help me out and maybe tell what to and not to do regarding the design and any suggestions that would help me out!

First of all, I think it won't be that hard to try to design a page similar to the page on the link, but there are still a few things that you need to pay attention to;

1) make sure, the page stills displays all the content and navigation on a lower resolution (like 800x600)

2) your rounded corners should look smooth and not in steps if you know what I mean, it gives your site a bad , unfinished, unprofessional look

3) if you place pictures on the page, make sure that you put border=0 in het tag. Then you will not have that ugly blue border around it..

Just a few tips to help you out..
