Here's what you do. Make the layout and slice it, then save the images and .html file. Change it how you want in Dreamweaver. Then change the graphics in Photoshop (or ImageReady) and select Save for Web... (or Save Optimized As...) and this time choose only Images. Either that or you can choose .html and images but save the .html as temp.html or something - the images will update in your Dreamweaver file but not the html. Hope that helps. Oh and welcome to the forums. tom |

if by "adding another image" you mean reslicing the table you're working on then no, you won't be able to do that because you're changing the sizes of some the images, they can't keep the same code. suggestion: figure it all out in photoshop/imageready first, then slice it chris |

Yeah, you can't change the slices because then the tables have to change. But if you want to update the graphics, you can choose "images only" from the second Save For Web... menu. Either that or you can do what I mentioned in my earlier post. tom |

I usually do most of it in photoshop, then bring it into image ready, slice it up when I'm ready then I go to File> Save> Optimize. Make the whole table in Dreamweaver and just insert the slices then add your behaviors. I'm a little confused about your question but I dont know, maybe try that.

There's no need to switch to Imageready to slice and save as HTML and Images. Photoshop does that, too. Unless you're doing rollovers or moving .gifs, Photoshop is fine...? tom |

You should do it in Image Ready that way you can see how long pages will load with the graphics your going to put on it. In image ready you can adjust the quality to lower the file sizes. Its a little harder to do in photoshop.

1. dont save html until you're sure you like your slices and tables. 2. once you do, save html and images 3. now you can go back and save images only anytime without losing any attributes. 4. you can also take make mouseovers in imageready here as well. or animated gifs. |

Flackbait: you can adjust quality to reduce load size in Photoshop as well as view the load size of the image. But I just save all as the best .gif quality and then use a .gif optimizer program. Not that I use that function of PS anymore. ;)
