would anyone know how to export or move the graphics you make in 3d studio max 4.0 to photoshop. i dont mean as in being able to alter them in photoshop. but just making them into a format that is usable in photoshop such as jpg, gif, bmp, anything.

Don't no if I understand you wright ... but it must be something like; render your scene in Max .. (render in high res. save the optimzing for Photoshop) In your Max output rendersettings you can select image size/name /type and save as ..*.tga *.jpg or whatever File>open in photoshop .. I hope this helps .. G.luck ;) |

I'm struggling through R3 with the aid of a very substantial book... Man I'm finding it hard. But 'imagine the possibilities'. No point to my post, just crying about my misfortunes. |

Actually you don't need a Open GL vid. Card. Open GL can be software emulated. I was running 3D Studio Max R3 on an 8 meg ATI Rage Pro for a week or two. Needless to say it ran like shyte, but it can be done. You really don't need a good 3D card to run 3D programs. I bought a Riva TNT2 just to hold me over untill my new computer and I'm pretty happy with it. It's no GeForce 3 Ultra overclocked by 15% but it works well considering what it is. In concusion, you don't NEED an Open GL card, but it's sure as heck better than waiting 5 mins to be able to move a small array of simple shapes in 3DSMax. What an intensive program! Just having it open takes up 75 megs of RAM. Jeeze. Happy rendering. |
