3D Flash Challenge

Flash is an extremely complex program. It isnt something you learn in a few months and then move on.

If by any chance you think faking 3d in flash is a beginner step into real 3d....you got a pretty big road block ahead of you. Being
"familiar with how everything works" is the wrong way of thinking. The only similarity between flash and real 3d....is they're both time based animations. Thats is it!

3d in flash isn't "nearly impossible" when you're using swift3d.
It's a gift from god, you can do lotsa kewl stuff with it. Just check the swift3d showcase.

Rodder is right though. Jumping from flash into a 3d app is like jumping off a fricking cliff. Throwing in just one more dimension just complicates EVERYTHINg. You have to deal with splines, and nurbs, and stuff. Things you dont even worry about iwth flash.

we're not silly. if you read the above, he's only using flash for his animation, not swift 3d which we recommended in another post.

omg. lol thats kinda tyte. man thats good. i wish i knew what the hell i was doing in flash. i have it and just stare atr it. and all i can do is make test move and fade in and out pictures. lucky me. action scripting? ummmm lol. now that is a cool flash site.http://www.2advanced.com/
