Why is it that when I import a perfectly good photo into Flash 5 it has bad qualtiy once inside the program. This especially happens when I have worked with it in Photoshop. Is there any way to fix this?

what format do you save it in? Are you sure you have the dimensions pixel-wise correct while in flash? Set the "JPEG quality" to full before publishing from flash. Also, try importing as PNG if flash5 supports that. |

I don't understand it either. The dimensions are correct. I'm actually making the shots smaller which should give it better quality. I'm exporting out of PS7 in jpeg format and importing that exact file into Flash 5. arg...

Flash does a bit of compression, so if you save as a .jpg from ps it gets comressed, then if you save your .swf, it gets compressed again. So look into the .png method of saving images.

Flash will reduce the file size no problem at all. its going to be a lot less than what you put into it.
