That is exactly the best way. And NEVER trace bitmap unless is is 2 or 3 colors and you can refill the graphic with the paint tool inside of flash. If you trace a complicated bitmap you file size will be huge... ;)

there is a plugin....ps2flash it's called or something. It's exactly what you want.

ok so i flatten it and saved it as a png and then i opened it in flash... if i already have buttons made on the flatten image.. how would i go about doing rollovers and what not through that? would i have to cut up the whole image and do what i want with each part???

Here you are. It converts PS layers into flash layers so you can work on each layer. Pretty damn handy if you ask me!
