Hello: I would like to know how to break objects in adobe illustrator. Like when you have a text in flash and then break it apart. ctrl-b The problem I have is that I´m designing a banner for print and I´ve done it on adobe illustrator and they need it on freehand. So when I export it freehand says it´s having problems with the fonts. Cause freehand doesn´t accept 14.5 pt for fonts or any in between. Thanks in advance for anyone who helps. |

Create outlines will break the fonts up so that they are vector.

The only reason I can think of for this happening is if you're trying to use a bitmap font that has no outlines and is only available at set sizes. Freehand will accept point values of fonts with an accuracy down to 4 places to the right of the decimal point. |

I was using a Verdana. And when I wanted to import it to freehand a message appeared saying I didn`t have that font installed. Replace it with ........ and from there it was a mess. So I solved it doing it all over again. When I used the font verdana for example 15.23 it rounded it. I`m not sure why but it did it. I have freehand 10 and adobe illustrator 10. Thanks for the help. |
