my showreel is a year and a half old...plus its all synced to music and burned onto DVDs! Not a chance...maybe if i make a new one i'll stick it in. I tried doing a similar thing in Cinema 4D...it's impossible! The only bad thing about Maya particles is that you have to render them on their own using Alpha channels, and then render the the of the scene and composit the two. The above is just the particles. Hey Chris, No we got Maya 4.5 Complete in work. You can do absolutely everything i did though in PLE...except the render. it really just involves creating a nurb spiral by extruding a quarter sectment of a circle with a verticle spline. When you have this spiral (smal at bottom, large at top) i then just made it spin and emit particles. Nothing to it! I'd give you the file but i know PLE can't open real Maya files...well that's what i think anyway. If PLE can open true Maya files, pm me and i'll gladly give you it |

No i'll never stop using Cinema...it's still the best program i've used. Give me two years to learn Maya...

actually its the other way around, ple can open maya files but maya can't open ple files. in other words, i couldn't do something in ple and have someone else render it out without a watermark i'll drop ya a pm, thanks. chris |
