Simple question I expect. How do I unlock my background. Every time I start to create a new object/image the background layer is locked.

Select the whole background using the selection tool and then 'add layer via cut/copy'.

Duplicate the bkg layer then delete the original background.

um... in ps6, all you have to do is double click the background layer, and that turns it into layer 0.. Snore |

Snore is right, and its not just for version 6 it has done that as long as I can remember. ![]() just double click it and name the layer or hit enter and it names it Layer 0 |
