reasons for using Photoshop?

i am very new to graphic design, and therefore Photoshop. already, i am troubled about something. seeing that most of the interfaces out there were created in Photoshop, if i understand that to be correct (if most were not, then what with?), why is it that most of the messages i see in the forums (not just this one) deal with editing photos? i understand that Adobe Photoshop was created for editing photos, but something isn't adding up for me here. is there perhaps another site that i need to visit for learning how to create interfaces (adding multiple sections together)? thanks, and i love your site

You can do anything with PS....almost! You can't lick a cat's butt with it...but you can make your interface on it.

I have made some helpful responses in here you little butt****er.

I love to fool around in photoshop and learn how to manipulate images it's fun you know.

And second i can make wallpapers with it , it some sort of art making one you know but you dont have be able to draw or anything it's just simple fun.

That's right, I have a stalker now. Isn't that great? He's a rather scary person, in a children's story monster kind of way. He joined the #webdesign channel on openprojects.net some time ago, and acted like an immature little kid. I assumed he was 12 or so, but we all treated him well enough, as we try to be polite to the people that come in. Somebody shortened his nick, since it was too hard to type (cs01001000) and nick completion was conflicting with another nick. He freaked out and it seems he has now dedicated his life to pestering me specifically.

Every so often, he goes on IRC and messages me and yells at me a bit. I told him I have no hard feelings towards him, and that if he'd just calm down for a minute, he could join the channel and all would be well. Nope. More insulting.

Today, he's showed up twice, under two nicks (webarama and bytesplit). He tried asking around about me, attempting to get info... Then he sent me two insulting e-mails. He's more annoying than threatening, I'd imagine. Either way, it sure would be nice to get rid of this guy. He's probably about 30 or 40, judging by his pic, but I guess he just has nothing better to do... how sad.
