does anyone know where i can find a tutorial on how to make clear tubes....mine just look like crap and i was wondering what i was doing wrong...or if someone can explain to me how to do it that would be great....thanks..

Ouch, that's a tricky thing to do... I'm sure that kpt plugins could do it very well but otherwise, it's gonna be difficult and may need a 3d prog... I found a really tacky site however on google (always check there first), it's really bad, but the tutorial is OK. It's how to make a glass, but the stem could look like a tube if you wanted it too...? better than nothing |

A gradient that goes from grey to white to grey should do the trick. Just make a rectangular selection, fill it with the gradient, and turn down the opacity a bit.
