I'm looking for a failry simple way to make letters and shapes look like neon for some flash movies I'm creating. I was hoping to just use gifs or jpegs and import them into flash. Any ideas?

That is probably the best way to do neon that I have seen. It is simple, yet extremely effective. I mean, most of the other ways you don't get the glow effect, but this works really well. Good work.

I really like that but I'm having some problems getting it to work with text. Do you use any particular fonts?

You best use big fonts. Like Arial Black.
Bus if you use small fonts you can have some problems.
