Making Tree's in Photoshop 6

I just had a question on how to make realistic tree's(leaves) in Photoshop 6. Any idea's?

Draw one half of a leaf on a layer, duplicate that layer and align with lower layer.

Then merge the two layers together.

Once that's done, you have a leaf you can duplicate an infinite amount of times.

For realism, just hand-draw in some veins and maybe airbrush some highlights/shadow onto it.
