pen tool

Hiya,

I'd really appreciate it if you could help me, I'm trying to trace something using the pen tool and I've never used photoshop before, so I'm a bit confused.
Basically I've managed to trace some of it using the vector curves thing, in a continuous line, but now I want to start a new line (as if I were taking the pen off the page and starting somewhere else) but when I try to do it I just continue the line I was drawing before.

Maybe I should be doing something easier than the pen tool but I kind of started and would like to try and finish!

Anyway, if anyone could tell me how to start a new line, that would be great.
