Hi all,

I'm new to photoshop and I want to use it to design the artwork for a cd. I'm pretty much getting there (so far everything has been pretty easy and it looks good) but one crucial thing is driving me nuts.

I need to get text running around the outer edge of the cd (you know where usually it says "All rights reserved...." etc). Is there some way of doing this? I've pulled out a lot of hair trying to figure it out so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a mill,
Steve.

Hi iDad - thank you for that link. That is exactly what I want to do but when I try what he does it doesn't work for me. In path mode I have selected an area for inclusion and another subset for exclusion but when I start typing the text completely ignores the boundaries I have set. In fact, the text ignores all boundaries and unless I hit return it will keep typing a sentence even when the type goes off the edge of the document. Is there some other setting that I need to change somewhere?

Thanks again for your help. I'm getting close!!

Steve.

not sure but first thing that comes to mind is your text is set "to large"...... but I am not sure I understand your delima, can you create the text then use your tranform tool to place where it needs to be? Zoom out to see the work area of the text?????

Hi, I draw a circle using the elipse tool and using the Inclusion, path setting like that guy does in the clip at the end but when I select the text icon and hover it above the circle it doesn't change like it did for him to a different icon which allowed him to enter text that followed the circle outline.
