Need to create this badge but cant get shape

Hi new to photoshop and wondered if someone could show me how to create the shape I need for my football clubs badge! I have attached drawing below!

select the outside perimeter then inverse your selection, it should select shape pretty well, only one color out side of it,so should be easy selection copy the shape then paste (you will have a new layer) you have only the shape you can apply color overlay to it if you want 1 color to work with.
