how could I modify a font like this http://www.abstractfonts.com/fonts/search/full_listing.htm?kw=moltors as to have a regular thin border and fill it inside with a desired background please? (outlined fonts if this is the term) and become like this http://www.1001fonts.com/font_details.html?font_id=56 |

The best way would be to use layer styles. Double click your text layer and set the "stroke" for the outline. Then set either color or pattern overlay for your background. If you wanted the text background the same a whatever background you have in your document, then set the text color to white, set "multiply" for the layer, and use only the stroke option in layer styles. This will allow you to outline the font and see through it. |
