Optimising problem with Image Ready

So ive got this animated gif that is too big, so i resized it.

Problem is, everytime i resize it, then Optimized it, the file is all distorted. its completely black with dark blue for the people.

I figured out its the color table and for some reason its only got 2 colors, which are the colors that i just said.

Whats the deal?

Not sure why it happened, but why not go back to the optimize pallete and reset the colors? How did you optimize it in the first place?
