All you do there is go to Filter > Render > Render clouds and then do a zoom blur on it. Which is in the Filter > Blur I think. Then you can change the colors with Image > Adjustments > Color balance.

BrentP it looks like Deker has you going in the right direction. You would get that background by first hitting "D" and then "X" on your keyboard to get the default colors of black and white. Then go to FILTER>RENDER>CLOUDS then what you'll want to do is add some noise by going to FILTER>NOISE>ADD NOISE and play with the slider and move it just a tad to the right. Be sure UNIFORM is checked and not GAUSSIAN then you'll want to go to FILTER>BLUR>RADIAL BLUR and then click on ZOOM. Set it to the way you want it to get the effect you want. Now you'll want to change colors. Hit CNTRL+U then make sure you hit the COLORIZE square and move the sliders around until you get the desired color you're looking for. Hopefully that helps but the best bet is playing around until you get it. You can also check out "Good Tutorials" for some pretty good tutorials on these type of effects. Cheers! |

Thanks for the replies all. I was not having too much luck w/ the simple clouds-radial burst effect, so I've been looking for some brushes that might do the trick. I'll go back to the drawing board and see how it turns out. thanks again... |
