Im having huge problems with photoshop right now. Everything works fine besides this one thing. Which is major. All of a sudden, alot of the PSD files I try to open in photoshop wont open up, it will go through the whole progress bar of opening the file then say : "Could not complete your request because of a program error." And it wont go any further and open the files. Its happened to some PSD's in the past where I shrugged it off cause it wasn't 100% important files and thought the files might have been corrupted for some strange reason, but today I created a design for a client which is intense with tons of layers (i dont want to have to reproduce my effects) and later on trying to open the file.... It gives me this error. I use ACDSee Classic as a cheap quick way to view my files and it views PSD files. The file opens fine in that for viewing. But for some reason, I cant open it in photoshop because of the program error. Anyone please? Have suggestions? |

The message is sometimes the tell-tale sign of file corruption. There might be a slight possibility that you're, pardon my French, ****ed. Other members here might have solution because they've had a lot more experience with that error (I haven't gotten one, yet).

You have licensed copies of PS for both Mac and PC??? Wow. Call Adobe and see what they have to say. If it's a common issues with your version of PS, they may have a patch for it. Sounds like you have some corrupt files or the actual program corrupted on you. Time to break out the install disks I think.
