I created a graphic (w/various layers) in Photoshop, and have a transparent background. I saved the image as a JPEG, then inserted the saved image in Powerpoint. When it appeared, it has a faint border around it. I don't have a border around the original image therefore not sure why it is appearing. Do I need to do something else? Do I need to save it as something else? THANKS!

you must have transparency around the edges. when you save it as a jpg it just adds a solid color.. so maybe just try croping it by a pixel or so. but if you want to preserve the transparency, you have to saveit for web as a gif. |

Thanks. When saving as a Gif, how do I know the best option? Optimized, 2-up, 4-up, and in settings: Gif 128 no dither, dither, Gif 32, etc, etc, etc. There are so many options to choose from in the Save For Web Dialog Box and I haven't a clue  We bought 5.5 a few years ago and don't have our book any more. You might be better off saving as a 8 bit/channel + alpha PNG, since this will allow you to retain the more continous tone photographic color while taking advantage of transparency. TIFFs can be used as well. But it depends whichh versions of Photoshop and PowerPoint you're using. For more info, a little Goog'l do ya! http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00190.htm |
